NodeFabric delivers hyperconverged database and storage solution for highly available, self-healing and load-balanced cloud services. It can run on any virtual or physical infrastructure: Amazon EC2 cloud, Openstack and VMware private clouds or directly on bare metal.

This stable OS release has been rebased to CentOS 6.5 and is introducing Openvswitch as a host bridge networking stack with support for VETH based VLANs and network bandwidth throttling.

Zabbix is an enterprise-class open source distributed monitoring solution designed to monitor and track performance and availability of network servers, devices, services and other IT resources. OpenNode Cloud Platform integrates Zabbix as a default monitoring solution. Zabbix is an all-in-one monitoring solution that allows users to collect, store, manage and analyze information received from IT infrastructure, as well as display on-screen, and alert by e-mail, SMS or Jabber when thresholds are reached. Zabbix allows administrators to recognize server and device problems in a short period of time and therefore reduces the system downtime and risk of system failure. The monitoring solution is being actively used by SMBs and large enterprises across all industries and in almost every country in the world.

Official precreated OpenVZ OS templates from 24.04 release have been repackaged into OpenNode OVF format and uploaded into sourceforge.net for downloading.

OpenVZ does not ship a tool for container ID changing and container cloning - althou its present in OpenVZ based commercial product called Virtuozzo. So we created one.

This stable OS release has been rebased to CentOS 6.4 and includes numerous updated packages that provide some new features as well.

CentOS 6.4 got released and as OpenNode uses CentOS base yum repositories but blocks CentOS libvirt package update - that breaks simple ‘yum update’ system upgrade at the moment. In order the system upgrade to succeed again we have to provide new custom libvirt package build. New CentOS 6.4 based OpenNode OS is in the works with numerous updates and some new features - but it has yet to reach opennode-test repo for QA and then to be moved into stable - which will take at least couple of weeks from now. We have recently migrated OMS from Fedora Func to Saltstack and, unfortunately, extra work is required for migration.

First development version of OpenNode OS with Open vSwitch is available for public testing from opennode-dev yum repository - replacing older linux bridge code and introducing new exciting features.

Latest stable vzkernel 042stab063.2, vzctl 3.3, ploop 1.4 and zabbix-agent 2.0.3 packages available as update from opennode stable repo.

There are updated kernel (042stab061.2) and openvz utilities in opennode-test repo for testers - before we push these packages to OpenNode 6 stable repo.

As OpenNode 6.0 RC1 has proven stable during these 2 months of production testing after its release - we are re-releasing it as 6.0 stable release.

We have released a new generation OpenNode CLI Utility - from now on called as opennode-tui - which brings some new features for local management and paves the way for new OpenNode

We have created an helper script in order to assist converting existing CentOS 5 installations into OpenNode 1.1 compatible hosts.

We have done a backport of NEXT3 filesystem kernel module for RHEL 5 OpenVZ enabled kernel included in OpenNode - both next3 kernel module and patched (+ newer version of) e2fsprogs rpm packages are now available from opennode-dev-next3 repo for testing.

OpenNode Management Server provides a JSON-RPC API interface for third-party software/systems integration and possible WUI/GUI/CLI clients implementation.

First public (alpha1) preview release of OpenNode Management Server (OMS) is now available - its download and installation is provided through a local OpenNode CLI Utility (requires latest OpenNode-1.1 beta1 package). OMS alpha1 version is not yet ready for production use - but it also should not be destructive to your test environment :-)

We have released first beta version of opennode 1.1 package for brave and adventurous betatesters :-) It is based on OpenNode 1.0 stable kernel and KVM stack - but contains upgraded opennode CLI utility which brings some new goodies.

Despite the silence we have been pretty busy with cooking the OpenNode Management Server and its web based management interface - FuncMan. But before we are going to release OpenNode Management Server preview its time for OpenNode 1.0 second beta release - which we hope will become later as OpenNode 1.0 stable release.
